baking!
I have not been sewing so much lately, but I have been doing a lot of baking. After dozens and dozens of cookies I decided to bake something else instead. Wanting to avoid a trip to the grocery store, I decided I needed to have all the ingredients on hand. And now I give you….

Happy Hannukah!
The family I work for is Jewish and I’ve enjoyed the candle lighting, prayers and latkes that go along with Hannukah. There are still a couple of nights left so tomorrow I will give the kids their gifts. They have plenty of toys so instead I made them scarves and hats.

I’m going to try to get a lot of sewing done this weekend. Along with my commissioned project, I’ve got lots of other things I would like to get done (if only to get the stray pieces out of the way!). I’m also knitting a lot of things that will be Christmas gifts. AND I’m in the middle of moving all of my sewing stuff (desk and machine included) into another room. ...

checkered blouse
I finally got around to finishing something! It’s a nice feeling. I’ve had this shirt for months now and today I decided to do something with it.
It’s a shame that it’s getting cold already—I don’t know how much use I’ll get out of this for a while. But it fits perfectly and is very comfortable. I’m happy with it, I guess :)

I had a bad night last night. It was my own fault. I have a terrible habit of overreacting and being super anxious about absolutely everything. I didn’t sleep much and ended up sitting up in bed wide awake at 7am. So I decided to sew.

I don’t really feel like myself anymore. I need to do more things that make me happy. I don’t know what is supposed to make me happy. I sort of forgot what it is that makes me Mandy and what those things are that are supposed to set me apart and keep me feeling happy. I guess I’ll figure it out.
